Ivy Artists

Cellist Kian Soltani is joining the Ivy Artists roster. We are very happy to be representing him in Benelux. He's still something of an insider's tip, this 22-year-old cellist - but the Persian-Austrian cello virtuoso Kian Soltani is quickly establishing an international reputation as one of the new generation's most prodigious young concert artists - praised for his technical mastery and profound, mature conviction. By the time he won first prize at 2013's International Paulo Cello Competition in Helsinki, Kian Soltani had joined the top rank of today's new generation of cello soloists, acclaimed for his deep musical passion and complete mastery of the instrument.

In 2013 the Kronberg Academy awarded Soltani the Leyda Ungerer Music Prize. The Kissinger Sommer honored him with the Luitpold-Prize for his outstanding artistic activities at the festival. In 2014/15 Kian Soltani is awardee of the Mozart Gesellschaft Dortmund and will be playing at the Konzerthaus Dortmund and at the Philharmonie in Cologne. Furthermore, Kian recently became scholarship student of the Anne-Sophie Mutter Foundation and is going on tour with Anne-Sophie Mutter as a member of the ensemble Mutter Virtuosi.

He forms a duo with pianist Aaron Pilsan.
