Alexander Melnikov was soloist with the Belgian ensemble B'Rock, playing Mozart Piano Concerto KV271 'Jeunehomme' on the famous 1815 La Grassa. "A first class Mozart: The main piece of the evening was Mozart's Piano Concerto no 9, one of his finest and most exciting. The excellent pianist Alexander Melnikov was a dream come true partner for B'Rock. Melnikov's playing was virtuoso, dignified and moving, without sounding pompous or mannered. Most important quality was that he forced B'Rock to miniature articulation and colouring. This nevertheless did not lead to loss of power, and so the central Andantino became the emotional focus of the evening." - Standaard Stefan Grondelaers
